The BJP is yet to announce its much awaited reconstituted national executive,
even though Amit Shah was re-elected as the BJP president in January this year.
Instead of state leaders from a "certain camp" or those "close to certain senior
leader or leaders", Mr Modi wants to give prominence to leaders who can deliver
and can discharge effective leadership in the national executive and have a mass
base, sources said.Even RSS China threaded

Modi wanting "Jan netas" and "credible faces" to represent their respective
states in the BJP’s national executive, the party leadership is apparently
finding it hard to meet the criteria. Though the list of names from states had
reached Mr Shah some time back but the BJP president, it was learnt, was not
satisfied with most of the names. Speculation is rife that the new national
executive could see a major overhaul if the BJP top brass really decides to go
with the Prime Minister and RSS’s advice, else only few new faces would be
included in the new national executive. Factionalism in state units is always a
worry for the BJP leadership and the party often has to face criticism over
leadership crisis in its state units.Sources disclosed that both RSS and Mr Modi
want "credible faces" to represent their states in the reconstituted national
team. Also, the leadership is finding it hard to "accommodate" most of the
existing national executive members, which it wants to "replace" with "credible
faces" elsewhere. The party top brass also want "younger faces" to be given
preference and more responsibilities in the national team. Other than the
national executive, Mr Shah has to announce the new team of the party’s national
office bearers.Sources said most of these existing members are senior state
leaders and the party leadership is in two minds whether or not to "upset" them
